Battlefield Vegetables

Whee...

Before talking about what I actually want to talk about, I need to say that I was an avid World of Warcraft player for years. However, many of the changes Blizzard made and a big quarrel in my guild made me think about it, and therefore I decided to quit WoW in April 2009. Meanwhile I'm playing old school games like Starcraft and Age of Empires, and now I'm stuck with Battlefield Heroes.

Community? Whats that?

I just witnessed a sad attempt at making a BFH video. One player wanted to record a video of other players blown away by the Blasting Strike ability.

At first I thought it was a silly thing to do, but then I figured: "Hey, why not? As long as he's giving credit..." Unfortunately, I was the only one thinking like that. I followed him over three servers to get the video done, but other players wouldn't listen and just kept killing us away before we could assemble enough people to make the video, and then I finally gave up.

Why do I start blogging?

To be honest, I'm not quite sure myself. For now, I'll just stick to the explanation that it's fun.

See, I first got a glimpse of blogging actively while I was still a student at the HTW Berlin. There was a Usability class in third semester, and part of it was to create a blog and... well, just blog away about what we learned in it. I'm sorry, but that's the simplest way to put it. Even though it sounds weird, it actually worked because we had to reflect on what we were doing in class, what we learned and what we found out.
